I live in a 'busy' area and get a number of hits from my home.First, can someone explain MAC address. I thought it was the physical address on the card or device. My own does not always show up as the same MAC address when looking at my network on stumbler.
I get lots of grey ones showing on my network also but only for a short stay. I live about half a mile for a Starbucks with T-mobile and see lots of logons on their network but are grey. I have an account with them but can't long on as too far away.
There is a government net further away and see them as SSID and one on that has MAC of all zeros.
So can the MAC address change in its display because of being too far away and is there some like the govt net that does not display true MAC????
